Terms of use
A few ground rules
The Radiant Hollow is a small community site run by hobbyists, not a company. These are the terms for using it, written in plain English. By using the site you're agreeing to them.
The short version
- Be decent to people. Harassment, hate, and threats get you removed.
- Follow the rules here, and ESO's own terms in game.
- You're responsible for what you post and the links you share.
- Staff can edit or remove content and can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
- The site comes with no guarantees. Keep a copy of anything you'd hate to lose.
Who can use the Hollow
You need to be at least 13 to have an account, the same as on our Privacy page. There is no open sign-up: you get in with a join code from a guild or community, or through an approved leader application. When you apply, give accurate information, including any verification screenshots we ask for.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't share your login, or your guild's join and officer codes, with people they weren't meant for. If you think someone else has gotten into your account, change your password and tell us.
How to treat each other
This is a community, so the basics apply: no harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeted cruelty, and no sharing someone else's private information. Don't impersonate other members, staff, or anyone else. Don't post anything illegal, or anything that breaks ESO's Terms of Service. And don't try to break, overload, or abuse the site, its accounts, or its moderation tools.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you create. By posting it here you give the Hollow permission to store and display it on the site so the site can work. You're responsible for what you post and for any link or embed you share, and for having the right to share it. Because the site is link and embed based, a lot of what appears here actually lives on other services (Imgur, YouTube, Discord, and so on); if one of those breaks or you delete it there, it can break here too. Staff can edit, archive, or remove content that breaks these terms or the site's rules, and moderation here is generally after the fact rather than before posting.
Contests
Contests are set up and run by guild staff using the tools the site provides. Judging, scoring, disqualifications, and results are the running guild's calls, not the site's. Enter in good faith, follow each contest's rules, and be a good sport about the outcome.
Guilds and communities
Guild and community leaders run their own spaces here and can add or remove their own members. Belonging to a guild or community on the Hollow is separate from any in-game guild: removing someone here doesn't remove them in game, and the reverse is true too. We don't mediate in-game guild disputes.
Moderation and enforcement
Staff and admins can remove content and can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. A guild leader or officer can recommend a site-wide ban with evidence, but only a site admin decides one. Banned accounts are recorded, including after a ban is lifted, so there's an honest history. We try to be fair, but these calls are ultimately at our discretion.
Other people's content and links
Links and embedded media point to services we don't control, and we're not responsible for what's on the other end. If you find a broken or inappropriate link, use the report option or tell us.
Names and trademarks
The Elder Scrolls Online and related names and logos belong to ZeniMax Media and Bethesda. The Radiant Hollow is a fan-run community and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them. Furnishing data is sourced from UESP (The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages) and used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License, with credit and source links shown on the furnishing pages. Data we reuse from UESP is offered under that same license.
The site is provided as is
The Hollow is run by volunteers in their spare time. We don't guarantee it will always be available, accurate, or error-free, and we may change, pause, or shut it down. Keep your own copy of anything you'd be upset to lose. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for losses that come from using, or not being able to use, the site. Nothing here is meant to limit rights you have under laws that apply to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Hollow whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account; the Privacy page explains how. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Some records, like a ban history, are kept as described above and on the Privacy page.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows. If a change matters, we'll update the date at the top and say so on the site. Small wording fixes won't get an announcement.
Privacy
How we handle your data is covered separately on the Privacy page.
